Week 1: June 1-3, 2024

The THNIC Academy has conducted a Computational Thinking and Programming Skill training course for high school students. The course attracted a large number of applicants, with 24 TAK students selected to participate. The training was held over two weeks, conducted only on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays

The first week of training took place from June 1-3, 2024. During this period, Parkpoom Tripatana, director of THNIC Academy, welcomed the participants and provided an overview of the course.

Following this, Asst. Prof. Dr. Akara Prayote, the head of the Department of Computer and Information Sciences, Faculty of Applied Science, King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok, and his team of instructors began the training. They introduced topics related to Computer Science, laid the groundwork for Computational Thinking and conducted activities and games to enhance understanding of Algorithm Design. These activities aimed to improve analytical thinking and systematic problem-solving skills. Participants used AppLab to learn game programming, practiced designing screens by creating Wireframes and designed UX/UI. Additionally, they developed communication skills and storytelling through short skits based on given keywords.

Week 2: June 8-9, 2024

The second week of training involved reviewing the previous lessons on logical thinking and systematic problem-solving using AppLab tools from code.org. This included playing games to enhance skills such as the Huffman code game. Participants practiced screen design by creating Wireframes, developing screens and naming components for various games to ensure they functioned according to instructions.
