Week 1, August 12-14, 2023

The THNIC Academy organized a training program on Problem-Oriented Programming for high school students. This course is an advanced level of the 3-course Programming Development curriculum. The content focuses on training participants in programming to solve complex problems. The training spanned two weeks, conducted on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. The first week took place from August 12 to 14, 2023. Mr. Parkpoom Tripatana, the director of THNIC Academy, welcomed participants and provided details about the course.

Following that, Asst. Prof. Dr. Akara Prayote, the head of the Department of Computer and Information Sciences, Faculty of Applied Science, King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok, along with a team of instructors, introduced the training program. They began with topics related to Data Structures and programming for calculations and then expanded curriculum throughout the three-day training.

During this training, participants practiced programming skills by solving problem-based quizzes that required them to utilize various data structures and develop different problem-solving strategies. This was aimed at enhancing their programming proficiency, preparing them for everyday life, and ensuring they possess valuable skills for future educational pursuits.

Week 2, August 19-20, 2023

During the second week of training, participants learned how to write programs using recursive functions to solve various mathematical and increasingly complex problems. On the final day of the event, there was a programming competition where participants had to solve problem-based challenges. The competition results are as follows:

1st Place: Mr. Theerada Siri – Takpittayakhom School

2nd Place: Mr. Hassadin Iamlamai – Takpittayakhom School

3rd Place: Mr. Suphakit Saeyang – Phadungpanya School

Mr. Parkpoom Tripatana, the director of THNIC Academy, concluded the training by stating that organizing the Programming Development curriculum consisted of three courses and led to significant skill development and expertise in programming among participants. He considered the event to be a highly successful endeavor. He also expressed his gratitude to the instructors led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Akara Prayote and her team from the Department of Computer and Information Sciences, Faculty of Applied Science, King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok, as well as the entire team who collaborated to organize the event successfully.
