Network Training for Technicians
The Thai Network Information Center Academy (THNIC Academy) held a training course, “Network Training for Technicians”, on October 19 – 20, 2023.
This training course was attended by 10 participants, including community technicians from Nong Bua Nuea subdistrict, Mueang Tak; teachers from Tak Technical College, Ban Lan Huai Duea School, and Thesaban 3 Wat Chaichana Songkhram School, and employees of Net2Home (Social Enterprise) Co., Ltd. The team of lecturers came from BKNIX Co., Ltd. (BKNIX) and the Internet Laboratory for Education and Research (IntERLab), Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). The program included lectures on basic knowledge of data communications and computer networking systems, network technology, and transmission technology, as well as hands-on practice concerning equipment and network installation, signal testing and signal attenuation problem solving, network using Wireless Mesh Network technology installation, basics of cyber security and a survey to find a suitable installation location.
At the end of the training, both the Net2Home (Social Enterprise) Co., Ltd. technician and coordination team and members of the Mae Kasa community shared their Net2Home project experience with a community internet installation under the Community Network concept to give citizens equal access to the internet at a reasonable price.
