THNIC announces 2023 award results for ‘Creating Teachers’ Websites with .th Domain Name’

The Thai Network Information Center Foundation and THNIC Academy, in collaboration with the Science Mathematics and Technology Teachers Association of Thailand, thaigoodview.in.th, T.H.NIC Co., Ltd., DotArai Co., Ltd., Thai Webmaster and Online Media Association, and Dek-D.com organized a national contest for teachers who participated in the workshop project, “Creating a website with .th domain name” held in 2023. A ceremony to announce the results and present awards took place on October 7, 2023 at the Robert B Banks Auditorium, Asian Institute of Technology.

  The workshop, “Creating a website with .th domain name”, was held to train primary and secondary school teachers who attended the free training at 10 training centers across the country, including Bangkok Center, Lopburi Center, Kanchanaburi Center. Chanthaburi Center, Surat Thani Center, Songkhla Center, Ubon Ratchathani Center, Udon Thani Center, Chiang Mai Center and Phitsanulok Center. 

This training was held continuously since February 2023. A total of 506 teachers participated and their website work was then judged by a joint committee. The winners of each center received national awards. Dr. Pensri Arunwatanamongkol, director of the Thai Network Information Center Foundation, said, “THNIC hopes this project will help teachers create websites they can use in their teaching. This can help teach students the value of utilizing a ‘.th domain name’ to their advantage in the future to improve their community. Utilizing the .th and .ไทย domain names can help prevent fraud because a registrant’s identity is verified, which can significantly lower the use of website names for deception.”
