APRICOT 2024: The Asia-Pacific Regional Internet Conference, Bringing together the world’s top Internet technology experts

The Thai Network Information Center Foundation (THNIC) successfully hosted the Asia-Pacific Internet Conference “APRICOT 2024” from February 21 to March 1, 2024, at The Athenee Hotel, Bangkok.

The THNIC Foundation hosted the event in collaboration with the Asia Pacific Network Information Center (APNIC) and Asia Pacific Network Operators Group (APNOG). The conference is considered as one of the largest Internet and networking events in the world and largest in the Asia Pacific region. This year, more than a thousand people attended, including networking experts, operators and researchers who have played a leading role in the Internet industry around the world.

APRICOT 2024 participants were briefed about the latest perspectives on global Internet developments through special lectures by leading experts, including Mr. Randy Bush, who presented the topic of “RIR Social Contract”, and Ms. Mona Jaber, who spoke about “IoT to meet Sustainable Development Goals”.

The event’s programs comprised content about network operations, including APOPs, BoFs and hands-on tutorials, peering forums, and special sessions covering Internet governance, routing and APNIC policy.

Another highlight of the event was the APRICOT Advanced Training and APNIC Workshop, held from February 21-24, 2024, with expert speakers from APNIC sharing knowledge and practical experiences to increase participants’ technical skills.

APRICOT 2024 provided participants with the opportunity to exchange knowledge and network with experts from around the world. The event also contributed to the development and innovation of the Internet industry.
